SAN ANGELO, TX — Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a blaze Friday morning after a vehicle caught fire in a San Angelo neighborhood.

A caller reported to police they were hearing pops and explosions coming from the vehicle.

The fire was near a structure in the backyard, so there was concern the flames could cause an additional fire, but firefighters were able to prevent any more damage.
