San Angelo ISD Names New Executive Director of Human Resources

SAN ANGELO, TX - San Angelo ISD announced Thursday evening that Dr. Amy Lemaster has been named the new Executive Director of Human Resources.

According to information published by the school district, Dr. Lemaster brings more than 16 years of experience in education and leadership to the district. She most recently served as the School Leadership Specialist at Education Service Center Region 15, where she supported campuses and administrators across the region.

Before beginning her career in education, Dr. Lemaster served in the U.S. Army as a Russian linguist, and then went on to earn her degree and become a teacher, information states. Her career in education has included service as a teacher, instructional coach, middle school assistant principal, and principal. In addition, she has experience in higher education, having served as an adjunct professor and as Director of the Center for Career and Professional Success at Angelo State University.

Dr. Lemaster holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Angelo State University, and a master of Education in Guidance and Counseling and a Doctorate of Education in Leadership from Hardin Simmons University.
