SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo ISD Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting Monday, Sept. 8, at 5:45 p.m. in the district administration building board room. Trustees are scheduled to hear several reports, including an update on Lake View High School’s closed campus policy.
The agenda also includes a summary of findings from a Texas Education Agency intruder detection audit conducted by Education Service Center staff, as well as a construction update on ongoing district projects.
In addition to board reports, trustees will review the proposed agenda for the Sept. 18 regular board meeting. Items planned for that meeting include recognitions for the nonprofit D.E.S.K., United Way’s partnership with San Angelo READS!, and district staff, along with construction and academic program updates.
Other Sept. 18 items up for consideration include donations, curriculum materials, personnel and enrollment updates, and multiple bids related to safety, facilities, and operations, such as the demolition of the former Sam Houston campus.
The Sept. 8 special meeting will be held at 1621 University Ave. The session is open to the public.
