Free Transit Rides Offered to Veterans and Families in Concho Valley

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Veterans and their families in the Concho Valley can now ride free with Concho Valley Transit, thanks to a grant from the Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans’ Assistance.

The program covers fixed-route services, ADA paratransit, and out-of-region VA medical appointments. Eligible riders include active-duty service members, veterans, dependent spouses and children, and surviving spouses.

To qualify, applicants must provide documentation verifying their identity and status. Those interested can contact Regional Coordinator Aspen Robert at 325-947-8729 ext. 410 or [email protected].

The Texas Veterans Commission’s fund provides grants to organizations serving veterans and their families. More information is available at www.tvc.texas.gov.
