Now It’s SAPD’s Shift: Tip-A-Cop Fundraiser Continues

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo Police Department officers are taking their turn tonight at Texas Roadhouse for the ongoing Tip-A-Cop fundraiser, joining the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office in raising money for Special Olympics Texas.

Officers will serve tables and collect donations from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the restaurant located at 3057 S. Loop 306. All tips go directly to support athletes with intellectual disabilities in the Big Country and Concho Valley region.

The fundraiser began Monday with sheriff’s deputies and will continue with deputies taking over again on Thursday, July 24. Both agencies are participating as part of the statewide Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR), a year-round initiative supporting Special Olympics programs and competitions.

Organizers hope to surpass last year’s totals and are encouraging the public to enjoy a meal, meet local law enforcement, and contribute to the cause. Donations can also be made at https://www.sotx.org/TIP-A-COP
