San Angelo State Park Launches Photo Contest for 30th Anniversary

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo State Park is inviting the public to celebrate its 30th anniversary by submitting photographs that capture the spirit of the park and its surroundings.

The photo contest is open now through 11:59 p.m. CT on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025. Submissions can feature scenic views, dynamic landscapes, bison and longhorns, wildlife sightings, plants and flowers, or recent and historic photos showcasing what the park means to visitors.

"For 30 years, the rolling plains, trails, and waters of O.C. Fisher Lake and San Angelo State Park have inspired people to seek adventure, connect with nature, and make memories," the state park stated. "To celebrate our 30th anniversary, we invite you to share your photos that represent what San Angelo State Park means to you." 

Park staff will select finalist images, which will then be voted on by the public. The winning photo will be featured on the park’s social media and website.
