Funds Program Opened for Arts-Related Tourism Efforts in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX — The City of San Angelo has launched the Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) Funds Program for the 2025-26 fiscal year to support arts-focused nonprofit organizations that promote tourism in the community.

City Council has set aside HOT funds to assist local nonprofit organizations both artistically and administratively. The program is designed to support nonprofit organizations in their efforts to create, expand or promote programs and events that boost tourism and generate overnight hotel/motel stays in San Angelo.

Applications are open to local nonprofits, along with arts and cultural organizations. Completed applications must be submitted by noon on Aug. 14 to Internal Auditor Michael Muncey.

Applications will be reviewed by the Public Art Commission and then brought for approval to the City Council in September 2025. The amount of funding awarded will be at the discretion of the City Council.

Program details, applications, and guidelines are available online at sanangelo.gov/finance.
