FORT WORTH, TX — The Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association is launching a series of Ranch Gatherings in 21 communities across the state, aiming to strengthen connections among ranchers, landowners and industry supporters through local networking and updates on pressing issues.
Starting this month and continuing through mid-November, the informal events will be held from San Angelo to Midland to Crockett and Amarillo to Mercedes. Each gathering begins at 5:30 p.m. and includes dinner at no cost, time to socialize, and discussions on topics such as the New World screwworm, landowner rights and regulatory changes.
“Our ultimate hope is for attendees to walk away with a sense of camaraderie and someone they can call on in the future,” the association said in its announcement.
TSCRA President Carl Ray Polk Jr said making the association locally accessible remains a priority and encouraged members and newcomers alike to bring friends and neighbors.
“When you bring a friend, neighbor or fellow rancher, you’re introducing them to a network built on advocacy, resources and shared values,” the association stated.
