Boater Advisory Issued for Lake Nasworthy

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Police Department is warning boaters to avoid Lake Nasworthy due to hazardous conditions caused by flooding.

Officials said Pecan Creek, which feeds into the lake, has reached flood stage, sending fast-moving water carrying significant debris into the area. The debris is creating dangerous conditions for anyone on or near the water.

Authorities urge residents to exercise extreme caution and avoid the lake if possible. Conditions are expected to remain hazardous until the water recedes and debris settles.

“Your safety is our priority," the police said. "Please remain alert and use good judgment while on the lake."
