SAN ANGELO, TX — The Bosque on the Concho River is celebrating its Season Grand Opening today, Saturday, May 31, with a family-friendly event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 330 S. Irving St. in downtown San Angelo.
As of 11 a.m., the event is underway with guests enjoying food trucks, paddle boats, kayaks, sand volleyball, a bouncy house, face painting, music by a live DJ, and a variety of giveaways.
Vendors participating in the event include Kona Ice, The Crazy Fruit, Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck, Jungle’s Best, Sunset Jr, Tacoholics 325, and a hot dog stand.
The Bosque, which sits along the Concho River, features a snack bar, washer-pitching pits, oversized chess, 18-hole miniature golf, and recreational access to the water. Regular hours are Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. The park is closed Monday through Wednesday.

Miniature golf: $5 per game (free for children ages 5 and under)

Kayaks: $10/hour for single; $15/hour for double

Volleyball: free if you bring your own ball, or $5 to rent one
The last chance to rent equipment is one hour before closing. The Bosque is part of the Concho River Improvement Project, funded by half-cent sales taxes and a Texas Parks & Wildlife Department grant.
The event is free and open to the public.
