Two Benefits for Local Mother-of-4 Battling Breast Cancer

SAN ANGELO, TX— Two benefits have been started for a local mother of four who is fighting breast cancer.

Mallary Campos has been battling breast cancer since August 2024 and is continuing to fight for her husband, Marc, and her four children, Cameron (18), Kolton (14), Eleanor (3), and Myles (11 months). Not only is Mallary a mother of four, but she is also a nurse.

Two benefits have been started to help Mallary with the financial strain the disease has put on her family.

One of those is a GoFundMe which states:

Mallary is 35, a wife to Marc and mom of 4, Cameron 18, Kolton 14, Eleanor 3, and Myles 11 months.

Mallary had been a nurse for 15 years and has treated and cared for several patients in different communities in their most vulnerable time while sick. It is now time that we come together to support her during her fight for Healing

On August 20, 2024, Mallary Campos received a diagnosis that changed everything: Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, a form of breast cancer that later tested as triple-negative — meaning it’s not fueled by estrogen, progesterone, or HER2, making it more aggressive and difficult to treat. She had just given birth and was four weeks postpartum when she stopped breastfeeding and found a hard lump at the end of week five. After a mammogram, ultrasound, biopsy, and MRI revealed lymph node involvement, her fight began immediately.

Just a few weeks later, on September 10, 2024, she started chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Since then, her journey has included:

• February 20, 2025: Finished initial chemotherapy

• April 1, 2025: Underwent a double mastectomy with initial reconstruction

• May 12, 2025: Began standalone immunotherapy

• May 27, 2025: Start of a five-week radiation treatment

• July 2025: Begins a one-year course of oral chemotherapy

• November 2025: Completes immunotherapy

• January 2026: Undergoes part two of reconstruction surgery

• August 2026: Expected to finish her final phase of chemotherapy

Despite the physical, emotional, and financial toll of this journey, Mallary remains focused on what matters most — fighting to see her 4 children grow up.

She is deeply grateful for the love and support shown by her community. Thank you to everyone who has prayed, reached out, purchased and provided warm meals for her family.

Mallary never expected to be fighting cancer at such a young age, especially during what should be one of the most joyful seasons of life. She is an incredible nurse, outstanding friend, loving wife, and an exceptional mother, but most of all she is Mallary Campos, a strong woman who deserves a long life of happiness.

She’s sharing her story not just to ask for support, but to remind women everywhere not to ignore self-exams. Her tumor grew quickly — from nothing to 2.9cm in just a short time.

Every donation, share, and prayer bring her one step closer to healing and more time with her family. Thank you for walking beside her in this fight.
