AUSTIN, TX — Kash Nelson has another good update after he fell into a pool and was hospitalized.
Matt Nelson has been updating his son’s condition after he crawled through a doggie door and fell into a pool.
On May 12, 2025, Matt Nelson posted the following message about Kash’s condition:
Kash had a good day! He was sleeping great all morning until about 1ish. He did another big stretch and was following boo and Kolt with his eyes. He was relaxing all day until about 3 and they did some more Occupational therapy with him, they stretched out his legs and he let out some bigger noises/cries. It is so sweet but so sad at the same time. They worked for about an hour and then he was exhausted after that. Took a little bit to calm down but ended up taking another nap until about shift change. He got agitated and got some Tylenol. He calmed down after that and slept good for the rest of the night. We have another meeting that starts today around 11:30. Mainly going over what the therapists have seen working with him, possibly a rough timeline of how long we will be here, progress made in here and possible going home time. We will see the outcome of that, and I will let y’all know tomorrow.
We had a great Mother’s Day yesterday. We spent the whole morning with Jax. Took him to the dinosaur park down the road from Austin. I think mom had more fun than Jax but it was still a great time. Then we went and had a great lunch with him in the domain. We hung out with Kash for the remainder of the day and had a great dinner last night! Jax went home with Boo and Kolt after we got back from lunch and is staying at Meanie’s house until Tuesday. I will be home Tuesday-Friday and then bring Jax back up here with me next weekend. I will so my best with updates while I’m gone but I will still have daily updates regardless of how little or big his days are.
Thank you all so much for following along with our Kash man. It means the world to us to see how many people love, and care for our little man. Thank you all so much for the continued love, prayers, and support! We could never say thank you enough!
Past updates say that Kash has been working with different kinds of therapists and he has been doing better each and everyday.
The GoFundMe for Kash has reached just over $67,000 on a goal of $100,000. The Nelsons do not have insurance and are still accepting donations. CLICK HERE to donate.
