San Angelo Police - "Don't Leave Your Pets Inside Your Vehicle"

SAN ANGELO, TX— The San Angelo Police Department issued an important reminder Monday to residents about their pets.

The post urged residents to not leave pets inside their vehicle as temperatures continue to increase.

The post reads:

“With temperatures rising this week, we’re reminding pet owners: please don’t leave your pets in parked vehicles.

Even on mild days, the temperature inside a car can increase by 10 degrees in just 10 minutes and up to 29 degrees in 20 minutes. That quick stop at the store could quickly turn dangerous for your pet.

Protect your pets! If they can’t go inside with you, it’s safest to leave them at home.”
