SAN ANGELO, TX — The Western Finance Carnival is currently being set up at the fairgrounds for families to enjoy during rodeo season this month.
The carnival will open at 5 p.m. Friday, April 4 at the fairgrounds next to Foster Communications Coliseum, 50 E. 43rd St.
The carnival will feature classic attractions, including a Ferris wheel, roller coasters, carnival games, and food vendors serving funnel cakes and other favorites.
You can purchase a "Passport to Fun" wristband here or at the official San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo website for $150 plus a $5 transaction fee, which grants you unlimited access to the carnival rides and gate admissions throughout the entirety of the carnival. This super pass has to be redeemed at the Carnival Guest Services booth for a one-time wristband.
You can also buy a one-day unlimited pass for $40.
Admission to the fairgrounds is $8 for adults and $5 for children 11 and under. Admission is free if you have a rodeo ticket for that day.
The carnival will be open April 4-6, 9-13 and 16-20.
The hours are 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Wednesday-Friday, noon to midnight on Saturdays, and noon to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
The only exception in the schedule is Friday, April 18, when the carnival will be open from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.
