Stray Dog and Her Eight Puppies Survive Emergency C-Section in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX – Miss Sweetie, a pregnant stray who required an emergency C-section after a breach puppy became stuck, has made a full recovery along with all eight of her puppies, Concho Valley PAWS announced Wednesday.

Despite the complications, every puppy survived, and Sweetie is thriving in foster care.

"Thanks to the overwhelming support and donations, we were able to secure the necessary care for her," information from PAWS stated. "We express our heartfelt appreciation to her foster family, without whom Sweetie's survival would not have been possible. Furthermore, we thank Dr. Smolka at Arden Road Animal Hospital for providing outstanding care."

The puppies are expected to be available for adoption in about 7-8 weeks. PAWS will continue sharing updates as they grow.
