TxDOT San Angelo Launches Traffic Safety Art Contest for K-8 Students

SAN ANGELO, TX – Students in 15 West Texas counties have a chance to turn their creativity into a traffic safety message as the Texas Department of Transportation San Angelo District hosts its annual Traffic Safety Art Contest.

Young artists are encouraged to submit drawings promoting safe driving and road safety, including messages about avoiding distractions, buckling up, or watching for pedestrians.

Entries must be 6 inches by 9 inches and include the student’s name, grade, school, and county, along with a title and a short description of the artwork’s message.

Winning pieces will be displayed at TxDOT headquarters and turned into outreach postcards.
