SAN ANGELO, TX - Due to anticipated icy road conditions, San Angelo ISD will be operating on a two-hour delayed schedule on Friday, January 10, for the safety of our students and staff. Buses will run two hours later than normal pick-up time.
Additional details:
- Elementary Schools: 9:35 a.m. start; students should report to their normal classroom
- Middle Schools: 10:00 a.m. start; students should report to their first-period classroom as they will operate on a compressed schedule. This means students will go to all classes but for a shorter period of time.
- High Schools: 10:10 a.m. start; students should report to their first-period classroom.
San Angelo ISD has been in constant contact with the National Weather Service, TxDOT, the Department of Public Safety, and other local agencies. In addition, SAISD crews drive the roads to assess driving conditions.
A decision regarding potential closures for tomorrow can be made anytime tomorrow morning prior to 10 a.m. It is important to note that decisions made regarding school delays and/or closures are not based on temperature, but on icy road conditions that make travel dangerous.
