Ballet San Angelo’s ‘The Nutcracker’ Returns to Murphey Performance Hall

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Ballet San Angelo is bringing The Nutcracker back to the Murphey Performance Hall this weekend, offering five performances of the classic Tchaikovsky ballet.

The show opens at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, with additional performances at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15.

This long-standing San Angelo tradition, choreographed by Artistic Director Erin Lane, combines hand-painted backdrops, ornate costumes, and a live 30-piece orchestra. 

The performances are presented by the Elta Joyce Murphey McAfee Foundation and supported by the City of San Angelo and the Texas Commission on the Arts.
