SAN ANGELO, TX - San Angelo’s Concho Christmas Celebration is returning for its 31st year with the Tour of Lights and Christmas tree lighting beginning on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 5:15 p.m.
This year’s festivities kick off with the Tree Lighting Ceremony at the corner of Concho and Chadbourne streets, followed by a lively downtown parade featuring music, colorful floats, and festive cheer. The parade will begin around 6 p.m.
Here's a map showing the route:
Attendees can enjoy activities like “Bike Through the Lights” or the serene “Kayak Through the Lights." Tuba concerts and other entertainment round out the festive atmosphere.
For those unfamiliar, the Tour of Lights showcases displays along the Concho River, featuring scenes like the Twelve Days of Christmas, a gingerbread house, and a nativity scene. Participants are encouraged to tune into KCSA 97.1 FM for holiday music during the tour.
In addition, guests can enter a drawing for a $1,000 shopping spree to Sunset Mall and JC Penney by completing a traditional survey card.
The event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. A voluntary donation of $8 per car is suggested.
