SAN ANGELO, TX – Vitalant, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit blood services organizations, is calling for urgent blood donations with a particular need for type O red blood cells and platelets.
In partnership with HEB, Vitalant will host the “Give a Pint, Get a Turkey” blood drive on Tuesday, Nov. 12, and Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Shannon South’s Williams Family Center, located at 3501 Knickerbocker Road.
The blood drive will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Donors who participate will receive a voucher for a free turkey, courtesy of HEB, along with movie passes from Cinemark and a Chick-fil-A coupon. Additionally, all donors will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of three $10,000 prepaid gift cards. Those who donate between Nov. 25 and Dec. 1 will receive an extra $20 gift card as part of a holiday bonus offer.

Vitalant serves hospitals and patients nationwide by providing a safe blood supply, transfusion services, and medical research support. The organization encourages eligible individuals to donate blood as part of its lifesaving mission.
