There's No Emergency on River Road

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Fire Department is conducting a routine training session this morning in the 1700 block of N. River Rd. Officials confirm there is no emergency.

Several residents contacted local media with concerns about Ladder 1 being extended over the Concho River, north of downtown, after spotting firefighters appearing to "search for a body."

The fire department clarified that the activity is part of a scheduled rescue training exercise, and there is no cause for alarm.
