Military Appreciation Day Highlights Angelo State Game Day with Ram Jam, Free Concert

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - Angelo State University is inviting the community to take part in a host of Game Day activities on Saturday, Nov. 2, including a Ram Jam tailgate party with a free concert and the Rams' Military Appreciation Day football game against the Central Washington University Wildcats.

Game Day activities include:

  • 3-5 p.m. - Ram Jam, LeGrand Alumni and Visitors Center
  • 6 p.m. - Rams Football vs. Central Washington, LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field

Saturday is also Military Appreciation Day, and Game Day is sponsored by 1st Community Federal Credit Union. Active-duty military, their dependents, veterans and military retirees get free admission to the football game with their military ID.

Ram Jam is sponsored by the ASU Alumni Association and is free and open to the public. Other activities include performances by the ASU Ram Band and Cheer Team, free food and giveaways. Anyone 21 and over wishing to consume alcohol will need to get a free wristband from the wristband stations at Ram Jam. Each individual must present a valid government-issued photo ID to receive a wristband.

Fans are also encouraged to remember the Clear Bag Policy for ASU athletics events, and fans who can't make it to the game can still follow all the live action on the new FloSports digital streaming service.
