SAN ANGELO, TX — Downtown San Angelo will host a large Halloween event this year on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Families are invited to take part in the Downtown Trick-or-Treat Fest, where local businesses will offer treats, games, and activities for all ages.
Participating locations will provide a variety of entertainment, from pumpkin decorating and spooky photo opportunities to candy giveaways and themed events. Some highlighted stops include Mandala Den with acoustic music and Halloween-themed mocktails, and the Old Central Firehouse Pizzeria, which will host a trunk-or-treat with local heroes, including firefighters and law enforcement.
The City of San Angelo will also join the Downtown Trick-or-Treat Fest with a special trunk-or-treat competition from 5 to 7 p.m. in front of City Hall at 72 W. College Ave. City departments will transform parking spots into creatively decorated displays, competing for the title of best decorated. The winning department will earn a prize, lunch, and bragging rights for the next year. Candy for the event will be provided by the city.
Free trolley rides will be available to transport attendees to various locations, and guests are encouraged to come in costume. Safety tips include staying with your group and looking both ways before crossing a street.
