Angelo State Homecoming Festivities Continue Through Saturday

SAN ANGELO, TX — Angelo State University’s 2024 Homecoming celebrations are ongoing, with several events planned to wrap up the week, leading to the highlight event on Saturday, Oct. 26: the Homecoming football game between the ASU Rams and Sul Ross State University.

Events open to the public include:

Friday, Oct. 25:

• 6 p.m.: Homecoming Awards Dinner & Auction — An evening celebrating the 2024 Homecoming Honorees. A social gathering starts at 6 p.m., with dinner following at 6:30 p.m. at the Houston Harte University Center. Tickets are available through the ASU Alumni Association for $75 for members or $100 for non-members. The silent auction, which began on Oct. 23, will close during the dinner.
• 8 p.m.: Pep Rally and Bonfire — Held in the open area behind Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium, 1600 University Ave.

Saturday, Oct. 26:

• 9 a.m.: Class Reunion Breakfast — Alumni can enjoy breakfast and catch up with classmates on the lawn next to the Porter Henderson Library, with front-row seating available for the parade.
• 10 a.m.: Homecoming Parade — The parade starts at the LeGrand Soccer Complex, winding through the ASU campus and ending at the Junell Center/Stephens Arena.
• 1 p.m.: Rambelles Soccer vs. Dallas Baptist — LeGrand Soccer Complex
• 2 p.m.: Rambelles Volleyball vs. Lubbock Christian — Junell Center/Stephens Arena
• 3-5 p.m.: Homecoming Ram Jam — A tailgate party featuring free food, games, live music, and more at the LeGrand Alumni and Visitors Center.
• 6 p.m.: Homecoming Football Game — The ASU Rams will take on the Sul Ross State Lobos at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field, with the Homecoming king and queen crowned at halftime.

Additional activities have included student-only events such as the Angelo Serves community service initiative, a kickball tournament, ASU-themed trivia and bingo, a blue and gold bash, and a dance and chant contest. A complete schedule of events is available at angelo.edu/homecoming.
