San Angelo Woman Files Lawsuit Against Reece Albert After Crash

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo woman whose vehicle was struck by a Reece Albert, Inc. truck has filed a lawsuit against the company.

According to the lawsuit, Raquel Rios was driving southbound on Bryant Boulevard on Jan. 12, 2022, near the intersection with Knickerbocker Road.

A Reese Albert Mack 600 truck tractor, which was driven by Eddie Jones, was pulling a semi trailer and also headed south on Bryant.

Jones allegedly made an unsafe lane change and struck the left back quarter of Rios’s car, which caused it to spin around and be struck a second time by Jones’s truck on the left front area of the car.

Rios had her two children in the car with her.

The lawsuit states that as a direct and proximate result of the collision, Rios and her children suffered injuries or aggravation of pre-existing conditions that required medical treatment.

She is requesting monetary damages of at least $100,000 but no more than $250,000.

Reese Albert, Inc. is a San Angelo-based company that specializes in heavy construction and road paving.

The case is scheduled to go to a jury trial Dec. 11 at the Tom Green County Courthouse under judge Ben Nolen.
