SAN ANGELO, TX - Relatives of all Angelo State University students are invited to campus Friday and Saturday, Oct. 11-12, for Family Weekend, highlighted on Saturday by a Ram Jam tailgate party with a free concert and home matchups for the Rambelles soccer and volleyball teams and Rams football team.
Sponsored by ASU's Office of Student Transitions, Family Weekend activities include:
Friday, Oct. 11
- 3-5 p.m.: Gallery Talk with Guest Artist Yuni Lee - ASU Mayer Museum
- 5-7 p.m.: Dinner at The Caf - ASU's renovated cafeteria
- 6 p.m.: Rambelles Volleyball vs. Texas A&M International - Junell Center/Stephens Arena
- 8 p.m.: University Theatre Presents "1984" - Carr EFA Building
Saturday, Oct. 12
- 9-10 a.m.: Breakfast with the President and First Lady - RSVP breakfast with ASU President Ronnie Hawkins Jr. and his wife, Maria, in the Houston Harte University Center
- 1p.m..: Rambelles Soccer vs. Oklahoma Christian - LeGrand Soccer Complex
- 2 p.m.: Rambelles Volleyball vs. Texas A&M-Kingsville - Junell Center/Stephens Arena
- 3-5 p.m.: Ram Jam - tailgate party with free food, games and a concert featuring country music artist Grace Tyler at the LeGrand Alumni and Visitors Center
- 6 p.m.: Rams Football vs. Texas A&M-Kingsville - LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field
- 8 p.m.: University Theatre Presents "1984" - Carr EFA Building
Ram Jam and the included concert are also open and free to the public. The ASU Mayer Museum will also be open 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and there is never an admission fee.
