San Angelo Animal Shelter Exceeds Capacity, Faces Euthanasia of 20 Dogs

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Animal Shelter is urgently seeking adopters and fosters as it exceeds capacity, with 199 dogs currently housed on-site as of Tuesday, September 3.

Due to the shelter’s requirement to maintain a population of under 180 dogs, 20 dogs will face euthanasia by 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, unless they are adopted, fostered, or transferred to another rescue organization.

The shelter is calling for immediate assistance from the community. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact Concho Valley PAWS at [email protected] as soon as possible to help prevent the scheduled euthanasia.
