20 Dogs Face Euthanasia at San Angelo Animal Shelter

SAN ANGELO, TX — Twenty dogs at the San Angelo Animal Shelter face euthanasia by 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, unless they are adopted, fostered, or transferred to another rescue.

The shelter is currently housing 188 dogs, surpassing its mandated capacity of 180, according to an announcement from the City of San Angelo.

The shelter has issued an immediate plea for adopters and fosters to help reduce the number of dogs on-site and prevent the need for euthanasia.

Community members interested in adopting or fostering can contact Concho Valley PAWS at [email protected]. Available pets can be viewed online at 24petconnect.com.
