6 Dogs Facing Euthanasia at Overcrowded San Angelo Animal Shelter

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Animal Shelter has announced that six dogs will be euthanized by 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, unless they are adopted, fostered, or transferred to another rescue due to exceeding capacity.

As of today, August 7, the shelter is housing 186 dogs, surpassing its mandated limit of 180 dogs.

This overcrowding has prompted an urgent plea from the City of San Angelo and San Angelo Animal Services for immediate adopters and fosters.

Those interested in helping are urged to contact [email protected] as soon as possible.
