Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Held For Unidad Park Splash Pad

SAN ANGELO, TX – The City of San Angelo, in collaboration with All-Tex Irrigation & Supply, celebrated the grand opening of the new splash pad at Unidad Park, 3245 Vista Del Arroyo Drive, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony today.

There are currently snow cones and other refreshments available for purchase from food and drink vendors.

"The splash pad at Unidad Park is a testament to the leadership and dedication of the All-Tex splash pad board members," information from the city stated. "Their steadfast efforts successfully secured the required funds and in-kind support to bring this project to fruition. To date, they have successfully raised over $800,000 through community donations and grant approvals."

The ceremony also included recognition of the leaders and major donors who played roles in making the splash pad a reality.

In addition to the Unidad Park project, the City of San Angelo continues to seek support for a splash pad at Kirby Park, 1402 Edmund Boulevard.

The goal is to begin implementation this fall/winter and have the splash pad ready for use by spring 2025, with less than $100,000 needed to reach the fundraising goal. The San Angelo Area Foundation has been instrumental in supporting this project. For more information, click here.

The splash pad is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., though hours may change due to weather conditions.
