Local Boy Rings the Bell After Beating Aggressive Form of Cancer

 

SAN ANGELO, TX— The 4-year-old young boy diagnosed with cancer has beaten the disease.

Maverick Davis, who was diagnosed with Burkett Lymphoma Leukemia, rang the bell Wednesday, July 24, and has officially beaten cancer.

Maverick’s mother, Katie Davis, has been updating Maverick’s progress on Facebook and posted a video of her young son ringing the bell. The hospital hallway was lined with nurses, hospital personnel, and others as Maverick walked down the hallway and rang the bell, signaling him defeating the disease.

Katie Davis made a post on July 22, 2024, stating:

“Not the news I was expecting to hear this morning, but it’s the best news I’ve heard in 6 months.

Maverick’s counts have fully recovered, and he rings the bell this Wednesday!!!!

My brave boy, you did it, you kicked cancers ASSSSS."

Maverick was diagnosed with Burkett Lymphoma Leukemia earlier this year. This form of cancer is highly aggressive and rare.
