SAN ANGELO, TX — The City of San Angelo is embarking on a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan (CSAP) aimed at enhancing the safety and well-being of all its residents.
This strategic initiative seeks to address a variety of safety concerns through a "holistic and collaborative approach," according to information provided by the city.
The CSAP will thoroughly evaluate all aspects of the city’s transportation and mobility systems. This evaluation will focus on improving mobility, enhancing safety, and revising planning documents to make the "city safer for all road users."
The information continues to state that the plan also looks at disadvantaged areas of the city and "prioritizes them in an equitable manner."
As part of the community engagement process, the city will hold a pop-up event at the Concho Valley Farmers Market. Residents are encouraged to attend and provide feedback on their safety concerns. The event details are as follows:
- Date and Time: July 18, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Location: Farmers Market Pavilion, 609 S. Oakes St., San Angelo, TX 76903
Residents who are unable to attend can visit the city’s website to fill out an online survey and find more information about the Comprehensive Safety Action Plan.
