San Angelo PD Offers $5,000 Hiring Incentive for Lateral Officers

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Police Department is seeking motivated candidates with strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork for certified lateral police officer positions.

To qualify, applicants must hold an Intermediate Peace Officer License. The department is offering a $5,000 hiring incentive, paid on the first payroll check, to new hires who commit to at least 24 months of service.

Starting salaries range from $65,500 to $76,500, depending on the level of TCOLE certification. Additional incentive pay is available for roles in SWAT, crisis negotiation, bilingual officers, patrol training, and education.
