All Dogs At Risk of Euthanasia Saved

SAN ANGELO, TX — All of the dogs facing euthanasia this Saturday have been saved.

We reported earlier that the shelter reached 199 dogs on-site last week. According to information from the city, to maintain a safe and manageable environment, the shelter must house no more than 180 dogs at all times.

In total, there were 40 dogs originally at risk of euthanasia.

"We are so grateful for the fosters and adopters that have stepped up to save these beautiful dogs," Concho Valley PAWS stated. "The fight is not over, we will continue to advocate for the shelter pets and hopefully avoid future lists. These dogs will sleep peacefully tonight knowing they will never have to spend the night without a home again."

Prospective adopters and fosters are encouraged to view available pets at 24petconnect.com and to contact the shelter at [email protected].

Concho Valley PAWS is located at 3134 N, US-67. PAWS operates from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

These at-risk dogs reside at the San Angelo animal shelter. Concho Valley PAWS is not an animal shelter but does facilitate the adoption of at-risk dogs and shelter pets.
