SAN ANGELO, TX — The storms that hammered the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex are affecting the weather here, according to the San Angelo NWS. And the resulting high winds that are expected will reduce visibility on the ground to less than one mile.
Goodfellow AFB announced it is shutting down at 1 p.m. according to an internal announcement to all base personnel that “due to severe weather for this afternoon/evening, the installation commander is closing the base at 1300 [hours].” The message advised base personnel to return to dorms and secure equipment and vehicles.
The San Angelo NWS announced that an outflow boundary has moved through the region at around 11:20 a.m. and will eventually produce strong winds in excess of 50 mph. The winds are strong enough to knock down tree limbs, which we have already witnessed along W. Beauregard Ave. just after noon today,
The outflow boundary is a result of the line of thunderstorms that passed through the Dallas area this morning. Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins declared a disaster declaration. That line of storms is headed east towards Shreveport and Beaumont.
A mild line of rain showers is visible on radar as of 12:45 p.m. extending from Big Spring to Sterling City. Other than that, no other significant weather is seen moving towards the Concho Valley.
Current weather at Mathis Field is 1,600 feet overcast with 1.5 statute miles visibility. Winds are strong out of the east at 25 to 37 knots (29-43 mph). Winds are forecast to shift to out of the south and drop to 12-22 knots by 4 p.m. Then, at 5 p.m. Mathis is forecasting light rain or thunderstorms with cumulonimbus buildups.

Careful sheople!! This new storm/weather scare is the new panic narrative.
This panic will of course have people swallowing insurance company's rate increases due to this so called extreme climate change.
Will not be long before tax appraisal officed will try to use this BS climate change narrative to raise property tax's again.
We have been experiencing these extreme weather seasons for 100s of years.

PermalinkIt’s funny how some people don’t have nothing better to do but criticize everyone. Instead of praying for our soldiers , and without realizing what can happen to them with blowing roof’s, tree limbs falling or other debris . Thank God, it didn’t happen. But they used the best wisdom to protect our military personal. Keep up the good work Goodfellow, and May God bless y’all always 🙏
