City Offices Closed for Memorial Day; Services and Activities Adjusted

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — In observance of Memorial Day, all city offices in San Angelo will be closed on Monday, May 27. Essential services and community facilities will operate on adjusted schedules to accommodate the holiday.

Trash Collection and Landfill

Trash collection services will proceed without interruption on Memorial Day. However, the landfill will be closed on Saturday, May 25, and will reopen on Monday, May 27.

Lake Nasworthy Parks

Day passes for Middle Concho and Spring Creek parks at Lake Nasworthy are available at the entry gates for $5 per vehicle. Season entry passes, valid through Labor Day weekend, are $20 for seniors aged 65 and older and for individuals with disabilities, and $30 for the general public. Camping permits are $10 per campsite per night and can be purchased at the entry gates and Spring Creek Marina.

Municipal Pool

The Municipal Pool will open for the season on Saturday, May 25, at noon and will be open on Memorial Day from noon to 6 p.m. Regular hours are noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. The pool is located at 18 E. Ave. A. Reservations for private parties can be made online at cosatx.us/civicrec. Fort Concho Memorial Day Program

Fort Concho will host a Memorial Day program at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 27, in front of the Headquarters Building. Gulf War veteran Aaron Woods will deliver the main address. The Fort Concho Living History Program and the Sons of the Confederate Veterans will perform memorial salutes. Refreshments will be served by the Pocahontas Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Fort Concho will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Memorial Day with ten exhibit and display buildings available for visitors.   • Animal Shelter
  • City Hall and Community Development building
  • City Hall Annex
  • Fairmount Cemetery’s business offices
  • Municipal Court
  • Parks and Recreation offices
  • San Angelo-Tom Green County Health Department
  • Southside and Carl Ray Johnson recreation centers
  • Station 618 and Santa Fe Crossing senior centers
  • WIC offices

All city offices will reopen on Tuesday, May 28.
