Gas Prices Up For Easter Weekend

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - Drivers who are planning to travel this Easter weekend can expect to see higher prices at the gas pump.

According to the AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch, the statewide average for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel is $3.15.  

While that price is 3 cents cheaper than last week, it is 21 cents more than this time last month. Gas prices a year ago averaged $3.11 across the state.

In San Angelo, the current average price of regular unleaded fuel is $3.05. The average cost of premium fuel in town is $3.77, and diesel is averaging $3.69. 

Looking at the state’s metropolitan regions, drivers in the Fort Worth-Arlington area are paying the most on average at $3.28 per gallon, while drivers in Tyler are paying the least at $2.99.

Nationwide, the average cost of gas is $3.53, the same price as a week ago, but 22 cents more expensive than at this point last year.
