Local Combat Veteran Chad Colvert Honored with New Vehicle

SAN ANGELO, TX — A local Wounded-Combat Veteran and U.S. Marine named Chad Colvert was awarded a payment-free 2024 Chevrolet Trax vehicle yesterday at All-American Chevrolet San Angelo.

All American Chevrolet and Wells Fargo Bank joined forces recently to host a Veteran Vehicle Donation Program in San Angelo, which is a promotional program called Transportation4Hereos. The program celebrates Wounded-Combat Veterans by awarding them with payment-free new vehicles.

Program Manager Sheri Spangler works directly with Transportation4Hereos and explained that the vehicle cost was shared by both Wells Fargo and All-American Chevrolet.

Chevrolet management announced U.S. Marine Chad Colvert as the selected hometown hero and recipient of a brand new 2024 Chevy Trax during a brief award ceremony held in the All-American dealership showroom on Wednesday morning around 10:30 a.m.

During the ceremony, Colvert was honored as a Wounded-Combat Veteran who served in Pakistan and Afghanistan, receiving a Purple Heart Medal for an injury that was the result of an improvised explosive device (IED).

Chand and his wife, Keema Colvert, expressed appreciation and gratitude for the gift, explaining that owning a car outright would alleviate existing financial burdens by having one less recurring monthly payment to keep up with. Receiving the payment-free car allows the family to breathe a little better and get back on their feet, said Colvert, especially after being negatively affected by economic hardship like most Americans following the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The Military Warriors Support Foundation Director of Donor Development, Allison Peterson, said that giving away payment-free vehicles to Wounded-Combat Veterans like Colvert never gets tiring since supporting and appreciating those who put their lives on the line and made incredible sacrifices for our freedoms is beyond rewarding. Congratulations to U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Chad Colvert, and thank you for your sacrifice and service to our country.
