SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo Country Club has announced in an email that they have retained golf course architects Tripp Davis and Associates to prepare a master plan for upgrading the golf course and practice areas to improve overall playability for members.

Davis is an Oklahoma University graduate who has been renovating, restoring, and redesigning golf courses over the past thirty years. Examples of Texas golf courses improved by Davis include Preston Trail Golf Club, Northwood Country Club in Dallas, Braeburn Country Club in Houston, and Oak Hills Country Club in San Antonio. MASTER PLAN–PHASE ONE

The first phase of this process is underway currently which is the preliminary master plan evaluation of the course consisting of town hall meetings and focus group discussions planned to take place in March. The purpose of these meetings is to gain crucial feedback for Davis to finalize Master Plan details.

Throughout this first phase at San Angelo Country Club, Davis will focus on evaluating what currently;ly exists, and work with the club to develop options to renew older infrastructure including greens, tee-boxes, bunkers, and turf grasses.
