City's Visitor Center and Arts & Culture Scene Honored

SAN ANGELO, TX  - San Angelo received two accolades from the Texas Travel Awards for the visitors center and best destination for arts and culture.

“The Texas Travel Awards shine a spotlight on the most exciting, innovative, and inviting places around the state,” information from the organization states. “The 2024 winners represent uniquely Texas places and experiences worthy of any traveler’s itinerary.”

An "elite panel of judges" scored the results, including travel industry professionals, travel journalists, and a touring musician. 

Texas Travel Awards states that the San Angelo Visitor Center is “the gateway to a genuine West Texan experience." 

The visitor center is described as "A beautiful building with awesome views for perfect Instagram photos or even just a quiet place to have lunch."

• Brand New Mural: Launched in 2023 by a local artist, it is a large and fun interactive mural highlighting every component of San Angelo that helps make it a great city.

San Angelo's commitment to fostering arts and culture also earned it the title of the People's Choice for Best Destination for Arts & Culture.
