February Events at the San Angelo State Park

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo State Park released a schedule of events for February. 

On Sunday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m., nature enthusiasts can join the "Bestie Barker Hike." Meeting at the playground with their furry companions, participants will enjoy a hike.

The park's wildlife education continues on Saturday, Feb. 24, at 10 a.m., with Bison feeding at the bison/longhorn viewing area. 

Following this, at 11 a.m., a "Big Heart Memorial Hike" will honor the late Mayor J.W. Lown. Attendees are invited to meet at the playground parking lot and embark on the three-mile Road Runner Trail.

Wrapping up the month on Sunday, Feb. 25, at 6:15 p.m., is "Babes and S’mores." Set against the backdrop of the Chaparral Pavilion, “You will make and enjoy s’mores while enjoying the beautiful sunset with the one you love,” information from the state park read.
