It's San Angelo Stock Show Time!

SAN ANGELO, TX - The 2024 San Angelo Stock Show is set to showcase the finest talents in junior agriculture, featuring an extensive schedule of events spanning various competitions starting this week.  

In 2021, the Board of Directors for the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association opted to split the livestock show and rodeo/midway events due to the COVID-19 pandemic and regulations regarding capacities events were facing. Though the livestock show faced numerous challenges with Winter Storm Uri and a city-wide water crisis, both events benefited from the change in scheduling.

Here is a breakdown of the events:

Thursday, Feb. 1: Agricultural Mechanics and Torch Challenges

• 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.: Agricultural Mechanics Project Show Arrival & Classifying
• 12:30 p.m.: Fastest Torch Registration
• 1 p.m.: Fastest Torch Contest
• 6 p.m.: Agricultural Mechanics Project Show In Place

Friday, Feb. 2: Speaking and Livestock Shows Begin

• 8 a.m.: Agricultural Public Speaking Contest Registration
• 9 a.m.: Agricultural Public Speaking Contest Preliminary Round
• 9 a.m.: Agricultural Mechanics Project Show Judging
• noon: Junior Market Goat and Lamb Shows Arrival
• 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.: Junior Texas Stars Wether Doe Show Weigh In
