San Angelo to Build Honor Chair for Fallen DA Investigator Steven Carnes

SAN ANGELO, TX - The community of San Angelo is set to honor the memory of Tom Green County DA Investigator Steven Carnes, who lost his life in the line of duty in 2022.

Saving a Hero’s Place, a nonprofit organization dedicated to memorializing fallen heroes will be in San Angelo soon to construct an Honor Chair in Carnes' honor.

Saving a Hero’s Place defines the "honor chair" as a custom wood memorial chair crafted by first responders, family members, and survivors.

The completed honor chair is then placed within the department, serving as a reminder of the hero who gave their life in service. Saving a Hero’s Place relies on donations to fund these projects and continue honoring the nation's fallen heroes.

To support the construction of the Honor Chair for Investigator Steven Carnes, Saving a Hero’s Place has initiated a fundraiser with a goal of $2,500.

As of now, the community has contributed about $240 towards this cause.

If you would like to contribute to this cause and assist in reaching the fundraising goal, you can find the donation link here.
