City Offices Closed on MLK Holiday: Here's the Deal on Trash Service

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, most city offices in San Angelo will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15. 

Despite the closure of city offices, residents can rest assured that there will be no interruption in trash pickup or landfill operations on MLK Day. 

Fort Concho Fort Concho's Visitor Center, located in Barracks 1 at 630 S. Oakes St., will remain open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on MLK Day. Visitors are welcome to explore self-guided tours during this time. For additional information, interested individuals can visit fortconcho.com.

The following City operations will be closed on January 15:

  • Animal Shelter
  • City Hall and the Community Development Building
  • City Hall Annex
  • Fairmount Cemetery's business offices
  • Municipal Court
  • Parks and Recreation offices
  • San Angelo-Tom Green County Health Department
  • Southside and Carl Ray Johnson Recreation Centers
  • Station 618 and Santa Fe Crossing Senior Centers
  • Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

City offices are scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 16, resuming regular business hours.

City offices will also close from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11, for an employee appreciation luncheon.

Also, the San Angelo City Council is slated to convene on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the McNease Convention Center, 501 Rio Concho Drive. The meeting is open to the public.
