Traffic Alert: Ramp Closures and Detours on Loop 306

SAN ANGELO, TX  — The Texas Department of Transportation San Angelo District issued a traffic alert for San Angelo residents, outlining ramp closures and detours scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 4.

Beginning on Thursday, a ramp closure is scheduled during daylight hours near Howard College. The affected area is the US 67 to SL 306 over US 67 northbound, specifically the high-rise bridge by Howard College. Both the US 67 off-ramp and frontage road on-ramp will be temporarily closed for essential maintenance. Commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly.

In addition to the Howard College closure, another ramp closure is slated for Thursday on SLP 306 WB ramp over US 87. This closure is also scheduled during daylight hours and is part of a bridge joint repair operation. The detour for this closure is indicated in orange on the accompanying graphic, with the work area highlighted in yellow.

Motorists are urged to pay attention to the detour routes provided by TXDOT and plan for potential delays during their commute. The agency has released a graphic detailing the detours for both closures, ensuring that drivers can navigate the affected areas with ease.
