San Angelo PD Ensures Christmas Cheer at Family Shelter

SAN ANGELO, TX - The San Angelo Police Department and Chief Carter sprang into action upon discovering that the local family shelter was facing a shortage of Christmas gifts.

Answering the call to ensure holiday joy for those in need, the SAPD orchestrated a timely response with the help of an anonymous donor.

Gratitude is extended to the anonymous benefactor who generously contributed funds, allowing the SAPD to fulfill the Christmas wishes of the family shelter's occupants.

The spirit of giving came alive on Wednesday, Dec. 20, as Officer Hernandez and Officer Espinoza, representing the SAPD, reached out to the Family Shelter to identify the items on the occupants' wish lists for their festive celebration.

After a shopping trip, both Hernandez and Espinoza, with some help from SAPD’s Maintenance Division, transported the newly purchased items directly to the Family shelter.

“The SAPD values its partnership with its community to be able to meet the needs of local organizations like the family shelter,” the police department stated. “The SAPD would like to wish everyone a safe and Merry Christmas!”
