SAN ANGELO, TX — Howard College San Angelo has two noteworthy events on Thursday, Dec. 14th.
At 2 p.m., Texas Trust Federal Credit Union representatives will be present at Howard College San Angelo's West Texas Training Center, located at 3501 US Hwy 67.
The purpose of their visit is to formalize a scholarship agreement that will generously provide $20,000 in scholarships for HCSA students over the next five years.
The signing ceremony and presentation will unfold in the Kevin J Barry Conference Room, marking a significant stride towards enhancing educational opportunities for HCSA students.
Later in the evening, at 6 p.m., Howard College will host its 2023 Fall Commencement Ceremony at the San Angelo Coliseum, 50 E 43rd St.
This marks only the second Fall ceremony in the institution's history and the third encompassing all HCSA students.
The ceremony will celebrate achievements not only from traditionally recognized Academic, Career Technical Education, and Health Professions programs but also include graduates from the High School Equivalency program within the Adult Education and Literacy Program.
Additionally, the event will honor course completers from the Workforce Training Department, spanning various fields such as Electrical Training, Certified Nurse Aide, Phlebotomy, Community Health Workers, and Certified Maintenance Technicians, among others.
