SAN ANGELO, Texas — The festive spirit is alive at the San Angelo Railway Museum as it hosts the "Santa's Santa Fe Christmas" event today, December 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Throughout the day, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors can find attractions such as photos with Santa or the Grinch, an array of vendors, offerings from food trucks, choo choo train rides, living history tours within the museum, and tours of the caboose.
At 1 p.m., a performance by the Lakeview Chiefettes will follow the melodies of the Fort Concho second-grade choir at 2 p.m.
As the afternoon unfolds, another engaging storytime will be held for audiences at 2:30 p.m., leading up to a performance by the Central High School Texanns at 3 p.m.
The excitement extends into the afternoon with a Wheels and Wonder Expo from 1 to 4 p.m., featuring displays and interactions with the San Angelo Police Department, San Angelo Fire Department, and the Department of Public Safety.
Additionally, from 2 to 4 p.m., pet owners have the opportunity for a "paw-liday" picture session, bringing their furry friends for memorable photos.
The merriment kicked off at 10 a.m. with the arrival of Santa Claus, who made a grand entrance by train, accompanied by the lively tunes of the Ice House Brass Band.
