WATCH: Fort Concho’s Annual Christmas Celebration Begins

 

SAN ANGELO - Fort Concho, a historic landmark, has kicked off its much-anticipated annual event, Christmas at Old Fort Concho.

 The event features living history reenactments and a weekend full of holiday shopping. 

The Christmas celebration at Fort Concho commenced on Friday. The event is scheduled to continue throughout the weekend with timings for Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

One of the highlights of the event is the hourly firing of cannons, adding a touch of historical authenticity to the festivities. 

Admission to the event is available at different price points to accommodate various preferences. 

For single-day access, the rates are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and military personnel, and $3 for children aged 7-17. 

For those looking to make the most of the weekend festivities, weekend passes are available at $14 for adults, $10 for seniors and military, and $6 for children aged 7-17.
