Annual Cookie Caper Gears Up for Holiday Cheer

SAN ANGELO — As the festive season approaches, the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its annual tradition that warms hearts and brings smiles to the faces of military personnel at Goodfellow Air Force Base.

The Great Cookie Caper, now in its seventh year, is set to take place on Monday, December 4th, and Tuesday, December 5th, at designated drop-off locations.

Since its inception in 2016, residents of San Angelo and neighboring communities join forces to bake, package, and distribute over 20,000 cookies to military students and personnel stationed at Goodfellow AFB.

The central hub for cookie collection is the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce located at 418 West Avenue B.

Residents are encouraged to bring their cookies, whether homemade or store-bought, to the Chamber on the specified dates.

Additionally, Goodfellow AFB will host a drop-off location at the Community Learning Center, Building 316, though access to the base is required.

The drop-off schedule is as follows:

  • Monday, December 4: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Tuesday, December 5: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
